It could be worse
Some of my nieces and nephews, when babies, would try saying "Uncle Carl" but came out more like "a KaKa". I tried to not take it personally.

it's normal and natural for a baby to use the simplest word(s) that is familiar to him. My sis-in-law's baby calls me ''daddy'' which is easier to call than ''uncle''.
