SoloWriter - so you are known as a naked tango dancer amongst your friends
It could be worse. .... that's a funny story. People will see what they want to see and they will fill in the blanks in their minds.

Also, we can't always believe what we see.  Once, I was dancing a Tango with my partner in a show before a live audience.  He wore a black tuxedo, and I wore a black dress with a full skirt well below the knee.  The dress was detailed with solid and sheer black materials, sequins and spaghetti straps.

During a lift, a friend took a photo of us, which I sent to friends overseas.  For some reason, it didn't occur to me that the dress was completely missing in the photo.  The only thing the viewer could see on me was the arm of my dance partner's black tuxedo wrapped around my middle.

Believe it or not, I only just realized that anyone looking at that photo could mess up all of ballroom dress design because of their own wild imagination.  And they did.

Xeno-x - I have asked it before as well but I did get a few classic answers

1. All animals were herbivores prior to the great flood 2. God made all animals temporarily herbivores when they were on the Ark with his magical powers. 3. Noah neglected to count his many children before and after the voyage, some were presumably missing. 4. God provided for all food needs of all species on the Ark, again with his magical powers.

In other words; no one said anything that made any sense.

Besides, it's all the nun's fault for taking a 12-year-old into the bush.

David1Spirit - many of them take it a few steps further
I've had many a comment suggesting things along the lines of; "God is beyond being subjected to human reason" or "God is beyond our comprehension as puny humans" both of which are in my mind; a plea to turn off any form of attempts at reconciliation of what is being advanced as a belief and reality.

strat - if there is one thing that really stands out in my mind from the

time I spent in the care of these loonies:

It is how innocuous and completely honest questions from us as young children were handled with corporal punishment in almost every instance.

"........If they can't answer a question they will resort to violence....."

I know lots of religious zealots who act just like that; especially the "fundamentalist" types.

But then again when one worships and fears a God of violence I guess you can't expect his "children" to turn out much different, can you?

"If they can't answer a question they will resort to violence. "
That pretty much sums up that whole organization in my experience.
