Bush is an idiot. His eyes are too close together. But, by the same token, John Edwards is obviously a profound hypocrite. The Dems still have a long way to go if they really want to represent working people...

Thank you, Xenox!
Nice observations. Now I have a question for you: Wal-Mart Johnny is undeniably among the wealthy. Who would you prefer in political power: A multi-millionaire like him, or someone like, presumably, you and me who earns a fraction of what he gets paid?

I looked at the photo here are some conclusions
those woods are about 20 years old or less -- all about the same age -- been clearcut at least within the past 20 - 30 years -- extremely thick, not a virgin forest by any means.

looks like fields interspersed there -- looks like they may have been there before Mr. Edwards had his mansion built.

but this still doesn't exclude the fact that CEO's make hundreds of millions per year when a large portion of our population gets by on less than 50 k  -- maybe between 50 and 100 k --

and I guess you haven't traversed the poorer sections of your town.  I have mine.  I can definitely show you how disparate the lifestyles are between the lowest and the highest.

let's see -- profits go up, wages go down, or barely keep up with inflation, jobs are exported overseas where people are happy to get $2/day, taking jobs that rural america and the lowest on the job scale used to depend on to keep them going (and on welfare [i had welfare clients working at such factories])

actually there are not just two Americas; there is a multitude of Americas.  And the America of the corporate elite is totally separated from the rest of our country.
