Now, you need to take your wife out next week, too.
Stick with the matinees if you can.  They will save you tons of bucks.

I’m assuming, of course, that the coaching thing must be
going to cost a lot more than the movies. I have no familiarity with life coaches. How much do they make? Is there a lot of demand for that sort of thing? What do they do for people? I’m just curious.

Good choice
I'm pretty skeptical of life coaches anyway... no regulation and anyone can call themselves a life coach.  And tying it to a religious belief sends warning bells ringing in my ears.  Based on her decision, sounds like your wife is completely capable of coaching her own life.

It sounds as if the two of you made the right choice
As I said in an earlier comment, what if this Christian coaching gig had actually been an excuse for evangelism/manipulation? Or, what if the Christian coach was one of those sensitive types more concerned about touchy-feely stuff than telling people what he felt they needed to hear?

Talion, I just barely saw a preview for it
and I'm probably going to have to see it myself.

SuccessWarrior

Now I know I'm waiting for video rental to see this one.

Next on my list is Ghost Rider. I hate Nicholas Cage and the same guy that directed the lousy Daredevil movie is directing this, but despite these two strikes, I'm obligated as a recovering comic book geek to check it out.
