Spitfire

Thank you for sharing that wisdom. After something I saw on the news yesterday, I found this very comforting....

I also love that animated witch graphic you have on your sidebar.

LOL, Holy G!
It would be coincidental if you came back as the fly that I ate in 5th grade! hehe

Soterios, sorry for the late response.
Thanks for sharing that. I posted this based on only a few theories. I welcome all ideas and opinions. That is what makes me human!  In my opinion, I believe that animals are born pure, innocent souls and have no need to perfect themselves. I do believe that domestic animals are here for human's companionship. The animals in the Rain Forest and the rest of the world keep the earth going. There are many theories to consider and I nor anyone else certainly don't have all the correct answers. But, we'll find out the answers when we get back Home for sure. Too bad we can't take that knowledge with us throughout each life, huh?

What an uplifting post. I figured it would be just my like to muddle through this ever-so-happy version of me, get reincarnated as a fly or an ant, and then not get to come back again!  ;-)

Agree with you about reincarnation...but...
I agree with you on reincarnation, but just remember that our souls are vehicles for doing the work we were incarnated to do. If our souls are spiritual, how did they come into being? Something, somewhere provided the template. There is an intelligent source, design and purpose behind it all. Surely there is something directing the incarnation, according to what is best for our spiritual development?

Dr Shakuntala Modi has written two books on the subject which will answer everything you wanted to know about reincarnation and then some.

I have read many, many books on the subject, including Newton's, but none as good as hers.

She goes as far as to say that since the explosion of spiritual matter from the beginning, we have been developing and incarnating for thousands of lifetimes.

For animals there is a master soul linked to all the subsouls of each species. For example, with cats, all cat's souls belong to the oversoul of cat. Animals also learn from their experiences in each lifetime.

For humans, there is are God-heads, or oversouls which give birth to soul families.
The human soul is gender neatral, but takes up a male or a female body.

Some souls were created from the beginning, while other souls were created later. The sex of the soul is liable to change from incarnation to incarnation. If this were not true, then it would not be possible for the spirit within the soul to have the full human experience. (How are you going to experience humanity in every facet, if you keep coming back as a woman?)

Also, she says that this is the main reason why some people feel gay from an early age. The soul has many experiences as a male, then suddenly there is a switch to female. The soul does not feel comfortable in it's new clothes so to speak.

With her prayer-based hypnotherapy she mentions that many of her patients have memories of when their souls were created by God in the beginning. These memories are incredibly detailed and are very similiar from patient to patient, unlocking some of the vast resources inside of us.

SilverMoon, your comments make me so happy!

Thanks for sharing them. When children, usually under the age of 6 speak of their life "a long time ago" or other things like that, they are usually recalling past lives and memories from the other side (aka "Home.") If we recall anything at all, it will most likely dissipate by age 7 or so. I hope things get better for you. I'm sure they will. Just remember what's really important and what is the small stuff. BB to you.

Our resident Wise Woman
strikes again.  Powerful and poignant words.

i knew there was a reason i logged on just now...

i think i needed to hear those words.  i think this is the lowest point of my life, and i often find myself wondering how the hell i'm going to get through it.  and once i get myself in motion again, i know it will get harder before it gets better.  on another note, my son told me a couple years ago that he chose me and my husband as parents.  he was about five years old at the time.  he said he was given the choice of me, my mother, my sister and my best friend as moms--and he chose me (well, that part's obvious! lol ).  thanks for tonight's post.  it doesn't help me solve my problems, but it does help me muster the dignity and strength to press on and perhaps an inkling of faith that all will eventually be well again.
