In the end it is a matter of choice... According to your writings, I understand you were planning to travel anyway. If a stop over is not possible to meet your newfound friend it is sad, but the rare friendship is still there. Best wishes to you.

I respect the problem
but I am afraid that is what you have "a problem". Of course I am not in your shoes, and you are a smart person but please think it over carefully. It may be best for you to cool the relationship and look local. Just a suggestion from an older woman.

I don't want to put a damper on all this love and excitement, but this is going to be very hard to pull off, especially if you live in deferent countries. There are too many hoops to jump threw and rules and regulations, regarding going to other countries. And you may not like this man once you are together. Its a lot to give up and think about before you jump threw the hoop. Especially without much money.
