Amen. They don't appear to be able to get any sort of bead on the pulse of the Nation.

I don't know if we need a third party, though it might be beneficial...it all depends on how it is handled but on one subject in particular, I think more of those making policy need to speak to those who that policy affects.

Thank you so much for your comment. I am afraid I can't take so much credit it has a lot to do with your attitude to the post. I appreciate your opinions.

I want to thank you for opening the doors to communication.  Sometimes it's hard to decipher whether varying opinions are what people are looking for or simply those whose opinions are in agreement.  I feel very comfortable in discussing my beliefs with you.  I just wanted to tell you I'm grateful for that!  As for the topic of your post, I think a 3rd party would be wonderful, but to convince others of that would be quite difficult.

This is such a great comment. To respond properly  will require a whole post. Do you mind if I do that directly to your comment. It is excellent. Thanks and I will not post until I have your permission.

Justi...
You have a point, it has come to a situation of not politics (an honest debate to determine the best course of action) but egotistics (my group is in power now and what we say goes) and does rather resemble an elementary school playground.  They spend all their time undoing what the previous administration did, not so much because it was wrong, but because it is not their party line.  This finger point both ways, and I am sick to death of this "secular progressive" whipping boy the right loves to point the finger at.  I know of no such organization, but I wish they would go away.  Then who would we blame?  Now, I ask you to think about this, I am not attempting to ram it down anyone's throat or insult anyone, just think about it.  If the "church" message is so good and powerful, why do so many ignore it?  Shouldn't the message be so correct and right everyone would see it's truth?  Yes, I am an agnostic (again, I am not selling, that is only me, everyone else can do what they want) so I don't buy the devil argument.  It's just something to think about.  BTW, the golden rule and the commandments are fine rules to live by, treat each other with respect.  If the ten commandments are posted on government property, what does that hurt?  More thinking.

Moral Relativism.....
is the religion of the secular left........anything goes.....do your own thing.  What good are laws...rules?  If there a law you don't like, ignore it!

You sound just like my husband, he keeps saying that and I keep saying why, why, do people believe that can be???? And I am not going to tell you his answer to that.

Justi......
The answer you refer to....is a result of Moral Relativism.......all mores depend on how you feel about them...their impact on society or civilization is irrelevant.  And that is what erodes the social order...allowing chaos to fill the void.
