Speak to Number Five
I have opinion on the rest, but as a military mom, will speak to #5.
My boy is over there. He can only be killed once. This isn't a video game. But here's the deal: The enemy has a religious mandate to kill all who are not bloodline-born into their religion. Within their own country they are killing those of their own religion. Converts!! Because they are not blood-born into it. Granted, there will probably always be people of that religion alive who believe that. There are probably still those alive who followed Hitler and still believe in THAT master race. But our job over there is to strip their military power away so that they cannot achieve the slaughter they desire.
There is no way we can make nice. For any of the Americans standing on this soil who were not born into that religion, you are a target. If we back away and let them create the stream of blood they want to create, when they are done they will come over here (AGAIN) and create rivers and seas of blood. My boy is over there putting his life on the line so that those over here who love, live, work, play, hope, etc. can continue to posess life in a nation not stained with blood-soaked soil. You don't think its a real possibility? Thank God you don't see the atrocities my 19 year old boy sees every day. Count yourself blessed on that front, and that he's over there fighting so that you don't have to see your own momma, grandpa, niece, daughter, wife be a victim of the maiming that happens daily.
Justi - I came by to tell you that I'm going to cancel my subscription to Blogit for the time being. I'm only dropping by a few members' sites to say goodbye. This is a neat community of very kind-hearted individuals. I've enjoyed your work and your comments to me. I've been surprised at the connections I've made, and you're one of those pleasant surprises. The content of this comment is the very reason I am pulling out for now. I have to take care of myself for while my son is gone. I'm trying to find out how to deal with my worry over him. I need to spend less time on the computer and more time on my health. I'd hate to have him over there worrying about a sick mom at home. He needs all of his attention to his task at hand. I wish you all the luck. God bless.

No I just happen to be one who still believes in Capitol Punishment. But I could be very wrong. It is simply a different page for me. I totally disagree with some who have not believed in punishment for child preditors. There is no evidence that they ever respond to therapy to any appreciable degree. But you and I did not disagree on that.

I must admit to you that when I wrote that comment, I was feeling much like my stubborn little sister that I had to babysit quite often. She would drive me nuts with her constant refusal to mind me with, "I don't have to. You can't make. You're not the boss of me!"

You are so special. I never had any idea you read my opinion or political blog. Thank you. I was afraid it was just totally offensive and I am welcoming others to state their views. I am happy to have you read and comment or not, but it gets crazy when no one does. I loved the comment you left today that said "hey I don't want to do this!' That is such a great honest comment.

I don't know where you live but I am thinking you are in a perfect world. You sound as if you blame children's abuse on their inappropriate actions. That is truely an innocence I don't believe many would understand.

I like reading your opinion blog posts but I'm not interested in voicing my opinions there. I don't have an opinion blog of my own and I don't really want one. Often, I am one of the ones who clicks on you and reads and does not comment. I thought it was okay to do that. I am finding though that certain bloggers find it uncomfortable to be read without a comment left. I don't really understand that reasoning. Although I enjoy comments, anyone may read me any time without leaving notice they were there. I like the mystery of....
I wonder who's reading me now....

Sorry, I am "in a mood."
- If you believe something to be right does that make it right? No!
- Do you believe child predators should be punished to the fullest? Yes. Locked away never to return unless a way to make them acceptable to society is found. And there would have to be a corequisite that someone on the outside _wants_ to see them again. hahaha
- Do you believe in Capitol punishment for murder? No. I believe that one murder does not make another acceptable.
- Would you agree to use your grandmother as a shield before your soldiers as a regular thing? Umm. No?
She'd have to be alive again...which would be nice...does she get hurt or scared? If so, then no. - Would you send boys to be killed until the other side found it reprehensible and stopped? Ok. I am sure they are much more intelligent than we are. Obviously, since they get US to come THERE to make killing Americans easier. It's always handy to be able to order out.
- What do you think is the solution to the wars in the Middle East, the terror in Europe, Philippines, Africa and India? Intelligent politicians who aren't power hungry and egotistical, i.e. there is none unless humans evolve or become extinct.

As for children, parents need to teach them early not to behave inappropriately with others.

I've only asked another person to kill a snake and some insects, but I'm feeling now the snake could have been harmless. Needless to say, I would not ask another person directly to kill another person for me, even if I really really really wished the other person were dead. Killing is the opposite of my goal in life.

I understand and share your feelings with one exception. The same DNA that frees those wrongfully imprisoned can be used to convict those who are guilty. I would not want to be on a jury that killed an innocent person. I would not want to be on a jury that freed an O. J. but in both cases some will fall through the cracks.

Interesting, I'll answer 2 and 3 because I don't want to get into it
Do you believe child predators should be punished to the fullest? Yes
Do you believe in Capitol punishment for murder? I did but I changed my mind because to many cases are now being overturned by new DNA evidence.

Where do you get a foundational belief for such as treatment and whatever if any punishment for murder?
Where do you find any evidence of any pedophiles having been healed to any safe degree? Do you have a background in a faith or an education leading toward this type of information. I am willing to listen and share my own.

Child predators are mentally ill and belong in mental institutions not jail
Capital Punishment is both morally wrong and an ineffective way to deal with crime.

Well since you asked...I think the solution to the Middle East is going to require a very large nuclear bomb...for at least a couple countries who can't get it together in this world...MHO

If you believe something to be right does that make it right? NO!
Do you believe child predators should be punished to the fullest? ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY, WITHOUT A DOUBT: YES!
Do you believe in Capitol punishment for murder? CONFLICTED!
Would you agree to use your grandmother as a shield before your soldiers as a regular thing? NO!
Would you send boys to be killed until the other side found it reprehensible and stopped? NO!
What do you think is the solution to the wars in the Middle East, the terror in Europe, Philippines, Africa and India? JUSTI, I JUST DON'T KNOW. I REALLY DON'T HAVE A SOLUTION. I RARELY GET INTO TO POLITICAL OR RELIGIOUS DEBATES, BECAUSE I'M SWAYED BY MY EMOTIONS VERSUS RATIONALITY. I'VE BEEN TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO WRITE ONE POST ABOUT MY STANCE ON THE WAR, ONE POST ON MY STANCE IN TERM OF POLITICAL CANDIDATES, BUT I'M HAVING TROUBLE FINDING THE WORDS.
