Well, I finally have a stable internet connection, so I am slinking out of bad manners and answering comments a bit late. *Hides*
Thanks so much for commenting, all of you. A few personal responses below, that needed elaboration...
bwFrampton, as for the inspiration for this... it's a little hard to put into words, a lot of the lines come from different places, and it would take a lot to explain. In general, it's about moving on, or at least trying to move on. The thing about time stopping--time won't continue until I let go. The paragraph about almost-shed skin, that's about the presence of two differnet selfs, who I am think I am, and a shadow, that represents the other part of me. Part of me thinks I am moving forward, and part lags behind, refusing to let go. So, to put it more simply, it's about the process of trying to move forward, but not quite able to let go yet. The 'you' is the one that I have to answer to, the one I can't let go of. Hopefully that made sense!
Scramble, yes, there are a lot of questions inside of me. Some I just can't find answers to. But, I think that one of the greatest parts of life is the questions, and it gives us purpose, something to wonder about and search for the answer to, even though it may be frustrating at times.
lionladroar, that's a very beautiful and thoughtful comment, thank you so much.

                    Hi NightMagic

Very deep and tantalizing thoughts the first cut is the deepest, then the last cut hurts sometimes just a little bit more because its still fresh in our minds, excellent verse friend. Thank you for posting I enjoyed.

Though I would like to hear the foundation to this poem, I do not need to in order to enjoy reading this fine work. Very good!
