Good advice on always asking yourself to look
for the hidden agenda.  I follow this policy myself.

Good points!  I rarely buy into what the media is selling!  More often times than not I have discovered that it's just a bunch of propoganda!  Hey, thanks for leaving a comment on my Seriously - Do Not Read This Post blog.  You rebels crack me up!

mysteria, the "spin doctors" are constantly at work in the media
we have to remember to do our own thinking, not let them do it for us.....

As you say
the media machine is controlled by the few - but things are changing, which is where networks like Blogit come into play?

I think a propaganda machine is far more insidious than anyone realizes. There is always a hidden agenda, even with our own endeavors.

miriouma. thank you for your comment. one of my main motivations
being here at Blogit is to learn about myself.  Your feedback has been very helpful to that end!  My mind is such a mystery to me that I am forever fascinated with!  That sounds a little self centered but it is actually based in giving :)

Decshak Caffeine! Oh My! I know all about its effects on me.

I am certainly paranoid, but I can't blame it on caffeine.  It is I believe, an amalgam of the result of my life experiences that lead me to worry so!

I'm working on it.  I have a large platter of tough nuts to crack though.  It's a life's work healing from some things.  I hope to get beyond these hurdles and not have them effect me my whole existence.  I appreciate the advice on caffeine.  It is an extremely powerful compound.  More than most know!

I find that caffeine produces paranoia sometimes....so ask yourself exactly
how much caffeine you are ingesting before you decide that everyone is out to get you or us....

hmmm. I don't know what to say, I've never really thought about it this way. But in experience I've found that intuition is rarely ever wrong.

Yes. You have to wonder...when "everybody" is saying something, where did the thought originate?

Mysteria,

Very interesting questions!  It makes me think of an anecdote:

Back when I worked at "the club", one particular DJ used to take glee in riling up an otherwise complacent audience, demanding that these guys give us the attention we supposedly deserved.

One customer used to get quite annoyed at this.

"Why is that DJ always trying to elicit a response from me?"  he would ask.

Indeed, I would think.  It seemed like it would have been better to let them enjoy the show quietly.

LOL....now I can't think of how this is related at all.

I guess it has to do with agenda.  The media, or whatever, seems to serve one purpose: to elicit a response from "the people" in order to divert their attention from whatever is "really" going on.

hehe...anyway....I love the way you talk so openly, so naturally.  If it's madness, I think it's a great thing.
