Those words were probably ones she said 100 times a day as she told the stories but for me, they were a gift, they gave me a peace about what Carl was doing and a very clear remind why he was doing it. She was right, we are all a part of the story and I pray that when our children and their children tell it, that it will be with pride.

what a really great point. Sometimes we put ourselves or circunstances put us in a place that we really don't feel very free! I had one of those jobs...never again!

One of my favorite quotes is "Live Free or Die"
I firmly believe in that. I once had a job that was so stifling and oppressive it drove me to a form of depression that was nearly lethal. I'll never put myself in that position again.

It's a good pic.
I haven't been there since grade school...it was one of those school trips. I don't recall if I had gotten the chance to see it that close or not...been a long time.
