Sorry is sometimes overused. But good when it is sincere!

the day i taught myself to really mean "i'm sorry" was as freeing as the
day i had the guts to say "it's my fault."

Symphony
When being able to use the 'sorry' bit to continue to hurt people one will soon wear out one's welcome in another's life. I will forgive, then I want them to move along I am tired of this now, it is not fun they have done it repeatedly. I am bored, bye.

We have seen how most people never change. Even the admin backs up this opinion. Lol.

Was this post brought on by something speific?....

I know what you mean, bel_1965 ...
When sorry is said over and over again....it is hard to believe it, because it becomes a word so often used....which then holds no meaning.

My step-son has a habit
of saying 'sorry" about 50 times a day and it got to the point that I banned that word in my house.  He was only sorry when he was in trouble and it just didn't work for me.

I agree that we should say "I'm sorry"
But I also agree that if we're really, truly sorry, we change our behavior.

Good post Symphony
It's hard to forgive and forget; so sometimes I just forget. Then I can move on!

Symphony
I love your title!  Sorry can be a very valuable word, but some people abuse the privilege to use it!
