A couple of suggestions
1. Think of a blog as being like a magazine.  When novels or other books are carried in magazines, they are serialized, a chapter for each issue.  That way, the reader is likely to read the magazine or the chapter, at least, in one sitting and, with their appetite whetted but not gorged, they are eager to read the next chapter and buy the next issue.  In the case of blogs, you will have more return readers if you serialize your work and that means a greater share of the readership dollars.  I have been doing that with my most recent collection of poems in my blog, Personal Poetry.

2. In your second chapter, quite a bit of time transpires and, with it, a wealth of thoughts and changes in characters since the first chapter.  This makes your writing sound "preachy", more like a treatise rather than a novel.  Yes, your protagonist is a preacher, but the story doesn't have to be one as well.  Use the plot to tell the message.

That's all for now.

God bless,
Carl Peter
