I know how you feel. Half the time, my son asks for something
and I make it and he don't eat it.

You know it's really getting on my nerve, I have lot of patience, and I do
allow them to choose different stuff at shopping, but the result is same....

Star
Oh, I KNOW that feeling. Neither of my kids will eat what I eat, and most of the time, they won't eat what the other one will. It makes me crazy. They would live on junk food if I let them.

star4you...
Star, all of my children are grown now, healthy and strong, but I remember times when it was difficult to please all of them each mealtime. I talked to my children's pediatrician of my concern, in regards to their eating habits. One day they liked a certain food and next day they didn't, it seemed. He suggested if they like pizza and casseroles, feed it to them. Basically, if you fix a decent, balanced meal, they will eat when they are hungry, especially if you refuse to allow them to snack on junk food. Best regards to you, Star. I know it isn't always easy to please everyone.

as my parents did
They simply said -this is the family meal that has been prepared and you will eat it. you can sit there till bedtime if you like but i do not think you are going to like it any better for breakfast. As for the teenager or spouse they can share the family meal or go shopping themselves and pick out the diet they want and prepare thier own meal while you fix the families.provide a meal not a menu if they don't like it they can fend for themselves.Hehe if they don't like that you can suggest one of them takes care of the meals and shopping for the family from now on :)

The little one give him small amounts to start with
make sure he knows there is no special treat until healthy food is eaten.
Play a game... he will get a special special prize if he finishes all on his plate before Daddy or big brother. Used to work for me

Cook one two course meal only
Take control.... one healthy meal only for all followed by something sweet IF they eat the first course. They'll eat when they get hungry & know that your seriously sick of the games.
