Great job!!  You stick with it!!  Just think how you're going to look in your new (1 size lower clothing!) soon!!  By the way, pretzels also works for me (since they are practically free), fat free fudge bars, and one of the potato chip companies (I think it's Lays) makes a fat-free potato chip and tortilla chip.  They tend to be expensive as heck, but when you're dieting. . , who cares!!  The fat-free tortilla chip and picante sauce makes a delightful treat!!!

It'll slow down a bit after a couple of weeks...
If your body isn't used to water and if you are drinking less caffeine and more water this is normal.  I get this every time I go on a health kick, as I generally don't drink much plain water because I HATE it!

Lol...Yes, water will make you go LOTS!!!!  That's perfectly normal given that it naturally helps your kidneys filter out waste.

Glad you're doing so well...Keep it up!!!!...

Eyes on the prize, Symph.
Keep it up. Incidentally, what i am trying to do, and mainly succeeding, is only allowing myself to drink or smoke at the weekends, in the evenings. I'm not suggesting you do the same, but human nature being what it is, you know how sometimes there is this 'all or nothing' aim, so if you or I slip back into our old ways, we might think sod it, let's just get fat and lazy. Well, being healthy nearly all of the time is still possible as well as being healthy all of the time, so it doesn't have to be all or nothing. I only say this in case it all gets too much and you can't resist a little drink. The next day, you can go back to being healthy again - easy!

Hello, Symphony! Wow, you are really off to a great start this year!
Yep, peeing is normal as your body is dropping so much water weight at the beginning of your new diet and exercise program. So, happy peeing!

You are doiong great, Symph!

Yes, water will do that to you, but after awhile, yeah, your body will get used to it. Fact is, the water is flushing a lot of toxins from your body right now. THe other thing is the exercise will not only make you want to drink more water -- and of course you need it to stay hydrated -- but if you are doing anything of any impact -- running in place, aerobics, that sort of thing -- you're jouncing your kidneys around, too.

Congrats and keep sticking to it. You're doing fine!

I think since we ARE what we eat and you've made such drastic

Changes in what you're eating and drinking...then it's probably normal to be peeing alot. I might suggest that you eat a saltine cracker each time you drink a glass of water.

That will probably clear it up. I'm really proud of you for working so hard to get fit. I'm doing that as well. At least I didn't gain  a bunch of weight over the holidays like most people did.

i have no time to write my own posts but have done some reading. you get
my return comment for the morning - EXCELLENT job on sticking to your guns and yes, as long as the massive water consumption continues, you'll be pining for porcelain.  but this is a good thing.  you're rinsing many toxins out of your system and when all is said and done, as you're already discovering, you're gonna feel great.

Water, water and more water

I don't think your system will ever adjust to a great deal of water intake. It absorbs what it needs and gets rid of the rest. I read somewhere that the water is the key to weight loss, that the fat has to have a way to get out of your body and the water is the vehicle (that could be all a crock but it made sense).

I am not bored with your updates, it helps to know you are going thru the same thing. You are so right about watching what goes into your mouth. I couldn't believe how much I snacked until I started writing down EVERYTHING that I ate. When I cook I like to taste as I go along and I was having a meal just on that!

I am also taking a tip from something I read. I try and eat as early as I can in the evening and eat nothing after 8pm. I will still have water or a diet soda or herbal tea after 8 but no food. I've switched my bigger meal to lunchtime too so dinner is lighter with a bit of protein but mostly veg. I tend to be hungrier in the morning but that's a good thing as I used to skip breakfast altogether.

One 2 minute dinner I had last night (it sounds odd but it tasted good). A plate of mixed salad greens with a few teaspoons of favourite salad dressing (I can get a light balsalmic/olive oil one at my store). Two eggs scrambled in pan using cooking spray instead of butter to keep it from sticking). Add pepper, dried onion flakes or any other spice to them while they cook). Toss the egg with the greens (they wilt a little with the heat but it's good). Eat with two pieces of lavash cracker or some other low fat toast/cracker. From the time I walked in the door to sitting down to eat was 5 minutes. Great for those rushed days or when you have the kids hanging off you wanting your attention .

Keep it up Symph!

I am not bored. I wish I had done that at your age. Perhaps I would not have fibromyalgia. Be blessed little one.
