I think that just about all of us females can pick something out of that poem and say, "Hey, that's me."   Somehow we relate to this.

We seem to be out of sync! And out of washing-up liquid.
Bitter sweet memories evoked very well, Mike - very enjoyable.

I like this very much. . .
particularly the first stanza and the soapsuds part, which I think could even stand on it's own. Yay!

Love it. Great picture. Rhythmic writing where the repetition makes it sing

Thank you so much Kato
Yes she popped back into my head last night, Colleen!. . . I was down having a pint at my local pub the Black Bull watching a tremendous game of soccer between Liverpool and Arsenal when The Liverpool supporters burst into song and they can sing, trying their upmost too get their team up and running again for they were 4  1 down at halftime. The song they sung was the Fields Of Athenry this was always a favourite of Colleen's and she would burst into song at any given time of day and place she choused.      Michael

Hi WaterKat!

The poem is of my first love Colleen , she pops back into my head from time too time and I am at her mercy, for she writes exactly what she likes. I often think of her and wonder what she is doing now, this verse was my answer. There are two more poems dedicated to Colleen back down my list, if you so wish. Take care WaterKat and have a great time all the time, not just for a change!    Michael
