mysteria, do not regret leaving the darkness and do not forget!
It is always there and too ready to accept us back.  I myself am not going there because for me it holds nothing.  You will find your hand within your soul, leading yourself through.

kingmi YaY! Good for you. I am trying too and I know that good
feeling that you talk about that comes from fighting for happiness.  I am progressing.  I can tell when I look back at where I have come from.  I feel a little lost lately though.  Without direction.  Like I lost hold of the hand that has been leading me through the impossible dark.  Maybe that means it is light now...  (((((KinGmi))))) Special Friend

Happiness is not easy to come by,
it needs a lot of sacrifice and at times making other people happy will reflect our own happiness. Have a try. Good luck.

mysteria,

How can you ever be happy if you are always fighting for happiness?  Although fighting with people who want to mess with you can be kind of fun.  Is that what Ayn was talking about?  That doing something like smacking Donald Trump in the nose could make you happy?  Or Rosie O'Dungle?  I know smacking her in the nose would make me happy, although she's too scary for me ever to try that.  Flipping the finger at a TV entertainment gossip show sure makes me happy.  Oh my!  I forgot how happy I am when I suddenly switch the channel on a survivor show that is running at full blast.  WHAMMMmm!  I'm kind of happy just thinking about doing that.

I guess Ayn might have known what she was talking about.  At least part of the time.  I started a campfire with one of her books once.  That was really a happy fire.  Somehow it seemed extra warm.

Do I know what I'm talking about?  Part of the time.  Is Ayn Rand kind of a female Socrates, or Confucius, or baby Jesus gone wild?  Someone must know something about her that I don't.  I thought Poor Richard's Almanac was ten times more informative.

Oh well.  It's another one of those days.    jj flash--- Mister E Mann

Very nice quote, mysteria.
And, actually. ., at a very good time, too.
