Seriously, I don't think that anything you could tell me would shock me in the least.
I mean, Blackcat ( I think ) said that she had an uncle and a grandfather in the S.S., and a lovely lady in Madrid who had translated some of my stories, has a father who fought with the Spanish Blue Division with the Nazis in Russia.

Yes, the Germans DO indeed hate the Russian language. Ironically, in German, the word "Slav" or "Slavic" means "slave."
This is exactly what the people of Russia were to them...Nothing more than slaves.
Hey, maybe you could help me with my Russian studies????

My ancestors were German, too
(though more removed; the last of them came in the mid-19th century). I've never bothered to learn German--rather, I learned the language of the people the Germans hate the most, Russian! Anyways, I do think its important to maintain one's heritage.
