One thing I quickly noticed during times spent in the emergency room after my mother's recent ups and downs is the "type" of people waiting for care. The majority of them didn't have real emergencies. They should've made an appointment with a general practitioner the following day. Then I realized without insurance, or enough insurance, going to a GP is a financial impossibility for many.
I'm glad your daughter is okay. Tell her to duck next time.
