Lovely poem
I particularly like this line... "Tear at the fabric that binds you to me" Wonderful.
I don't read too much rhyming poetry, maybe because when I first started writing poetry (in middle school, ahaha, some of it was terrible, let me tell you...) I always rhymed. So after rhyming so much I dreifted away from it, but lately I am starting to really enjoy it again if it's done right, and I really like how the rhyming here reads, you did a great job.

Straightforward
it not a literal meaning of the words, more the feeling that pain only is temporary.

Tears can be shed, but tears can be painted too, can't they?
