Star 4,
Thank you for coming around.  When you say something you make me think ''I really need to do a new post so I can hear what she has to say.''  When someone makes me feel that way, it does a very good job of keeping me more productive..

Taps,

I'm not surprised.  If you live close to the desert out here you get some real strange things.  Coyotes in your front yard, rattlesnakes under the steps or in the garden, rats that make nests out of the insulation on your car wiring, hawks that swoop away with small pets, voracious termites, and brain-baked people that do sections of freeway at speeds up to 140 MPH on a regular basis.

Scorpions are easy to spot with a simple black (ultrviolet) light.  I knew people who made quite a bit of extra money by going scorpion hunting with a black light.  The State University used to buy them for venom milking to make antivenin to use in stingees.  The same thing with rattlesnakes.

Well, it always something, JackFlash
no matter where you live.   My friend in AZ goes out every night with a special light look for scorpions along his walls and he always finds dozens of them.

Taps,

My brother, who lives in Hew Hampshire, had problems like that when he first moved into his house.  The previous owner had swarms fo fleas waiting for him.  He told me that when you walked into a room that had direct sunlight you could see hundreds of fleas jumping up.  I thing it was more than a year before he finally got rid of them.  I guess that area is really Bug Central at certain times of the year.

There can be tick problems in Arizona, but they seem to go with lawn grass.  I have default Desert Landscaping, so ticks aren't a problem.  I am beginning to wonder whether fleas or some kind of dust-sized bug doesn't like the dirt.

Or is it something I'm allergic to?  It's hard to decide.

Symphony,
Thank you for getting by.  I'll get over to see what's happening with you very soon.  I won't have a lot of time until next weel, but I'll get there soon.  You're still my sweetie pie.

One way to find out is to get rid of the cats and dogs.  In a few days the fleas (if there are any) will be hopping hungry and will be all over you.  I visited a lady where that happened.  I went in and within seconds of sitting down my legs from the knees down were covered in little black dots.  I ran out wildly brushing them off and never went back in again.

Afzal,
Thank you.  Happy New Year to you, too.  It's a little late to say ''Happy New Year.''  I suppose I should say something more like ''Good luck on your resolutions.''

Maria,
If it weren't for cats and dogs I think that we would have a lot more wars.  People would be so cranky and loveless that they would just go out looking for someone to mess up.  We have plenty of that anyway, but that is not because we are like animals, it is because we are not.  There are a lot of people who don't understand animals.  That bunch is best avoided.

I hope it's not your cats and dogs too.
Can't think what would happen if there are no dogs and cats around. Happy New Year!
