Sweet description of your mother's transfiguration
Her metamorphisis into butterfly spirit
within translucent, chrysalis skin.

Glad you stopped in.  I hardly ever post, so no wonder you weren't looking.  Thanks for the comment, dear.

I'm sooo sorry I  missed this.  What a lovely tribute to your mother - aging showng itself but at the same time a gentle spirit emerging.  Very nicely done!   It speaks from the heart.

My mother is 83 and a lovely woman, inside and out.  We had a scare about 3 1/2 years ago when she had a ruptured appendix, and the doctors couldn't figure it out.  She was put on antibiotics but sent her home.  5 days later she went back to the hospital and was wisked in for an emergency operation.  She's pretty tough, but she's getting older.  I love her and my father.

How beautiful.  Enjoy every bit of her while you can.  I sure miss my parents.

I can relate to this one. It's pretty emotional to see our mothers start to really show their ages.  It's humbling in that it sort of makes us more aware of our own mortality.
