Vivienne, my heart breaks at the comments of your
mother and the priest at the time of baby's death. I pray God will forgive them for such cruelty. I have taught the Catholic faith belief system since 1956 and continue to teach adults in my Parish. I have never believed nor taught such stupid, ignorant information. Our God is gentle God and whatever the reason He called your child home, He had a special place in His heart and in His heaven for that precious soul. Rest assured the ignorance of the priest was not pleasing to our God and your child's death had nothing to do with what you did or did not do!
I enjoyed reading your four posts and hope to read more of your writing in the days ahead! May your New Year be filled with abundant blessings from a loving and caring God. That is who my God is may He also be yours!

It would behoove us all to follow the moral codes of our various religions,
Vivienne, than to argue and judge the glories and failings of each. Attempting to be the best person one can be on a personal and a societal level should be the goal, not establishing one's religion over another. People get too caught up in the "who's right" and "who's wrong"...
