Talion - yep, and what is a good thing is ultimately in the eyes of the
beholder.

Well, after suffering through this cat and mouse god, I'm certainly not ready to go find out all about Buddha.

I've learned that like chocolate, red meat, and bourbon, too much of a good thing ultimately isn't.

SoloWriter -most people believe that there is only one God but not everyone
There are a number of cultures indigenous to this continent that believe in multiple dieties, not to mention some of the religions of Pacific rim and Asian sub continent. ....in any event; have a happy New Year.

MoonSpirit - thank you - your comments are always a pleasure and seem to
completely disarm whatever rabid rant I am on in my posts.

Religious ideologies?
I thought there was only one God. Chris was the guy who first pounced on me out of the blue. ChrisT is the only message I've had pushed at me over and over again. T: Time out! T: the cross. T: that thing that a carpenter might make while building a house. We had one adopted person in our family, and he was adopted by a Carpenter. "Just a Carpenter," as they say. "Is this not the Carpenter's son? Is Jesus not the son of Joseph?" they say. Yeah, and every time I try to adopt two cats, I end up with one. One lonely damned cat, one Christian God, and no leash. Just stupid me with no differing "religious ideologies." You know what the Carpenter's name is in our family of obviousness, Gome? His name is DAVID. "Son of David." That's right, fellow bozo for brains. He's the King of the Jews.
Sigh. Now if I could just ween myself of this cat imprisonment ... I'm dreaming of a White Bird House.

Gomedome, you're always entertaining - I was laughing by the end of the first paragraph. Like you, I was surprised to find on Blogit people who really understand the teachings of their particular faiths and who actually try to live the faith - e.g., not condemning, loving their neighbors, not judging others - astounding really. That notwithstanding, you're right, we're doomed! LOLOLOLOLOL
