Happy New Year stbond

Hi stbond, hope you and yours are well friend

You are wise friend in keeping with the eggnog in few glasses of rum. (Sounds nice your toast)Leave acting the goat to poor old me! Without seeming too boastful,I'm rather good at it. . .Thank you also for the gift in verse, Regina Spektor, ghost like memories of all us fools. Desiring and then self blaming. I will look the said poet up, very good, I enjoyed your gift in wisdom. Michael

What a lively description. . .
of holiday revelry. I now feel quite prudish with my modest tippling of some sweet dessert wine and a couple of rum-spiked eggnoggs. Not the proper state or atmosphere to leave me rubbing shoulders with humanity in a drunken state of camaraderie. Oh well, there's always New Year's.

Wrong season but great quote by songstress Regina Spektor:

Summer in the city means cleavage cleavage cleavage
And I start to miss you, baby, sometimes
I've been staying up and drinking in a late night establishment
Telling strangers personal things

Summer in the city, I'm so lonely lonely lonely
So I went to a protest just to rub up against strangers
And I did feel like coming but I also felt like crying
It doesn't seem so worth it right now

Beautifully done--with word and green background. I will steal this format

Now, the words of the poem are magical...in American English, with queues, tins, waste-paper baskets, and hostels ...I am saying, your poem is pure magic, dude!

Happy Holidays--and Greta New Year to your loved ones, especially that woman?muse who will urge you on, to publsih someday, with the best editor who will change very few things in your orignal and refreshing poetry. Love, my brother U rock! shalom, Neil

Lionladroar
I was really into this poem visualizing each of the things you mentioned like when was the last time I'd had a Harvey Wallbanger and such and suddening I happened upon the ending of it and had to laugh out loud.   I like your sense of humor that pops in and out of your work.  Merry Christmas to ye.

Mike-
What truth this speaks!

A couple of lads making merry on Christmas eve eve or whenever.  I like how you tied margaritas, slow screws, and office embarrassments together in the same thought/stanza/verse.  Such vivid images you write! Carry on, dear sir!

Tony I would love, to sit down and share half of half!
With you Sir, I know it would be fun, plus I have not been paying as much attention as I should have to your post, my eyes only on your Sonnets. I mention this because I have the feeling your a mighty fine musician as well as poet. This in my humble opinion always makes way for a great time. Season greetings!!! Mike

This is funny and clever Mike - and of course pretty scathing, too.
I love that Christs' sakes day. I'm pleased to say I've still got half a bottle of whisky left for the big day. I'll be sharing it of course if anyone wants any, but if they don't... I'm sure I'll work out what to do with it.  Season's greetings!!

Lion, some beaut turns of phrase, too many to mention

The queue curling long, thick with kisses
Christmas happy Chap’s and Lasses
carols mixed with tunes in rap
holy night club joy
thick with kisses
Christmas happy Chap’s and Lasses

a pretty realistic account of Christmas time, whimsical and witty.
