I like the transition in this poem, from the calm to the ending when suddenly it's not such a happy, peaceful feeling anymore. I dig the air dryer comparison.

I wish you were still in Bremerton...
I would come visit you. You always have a way of keeping things simple, something I need big time right now.  I can see you standing there with Mazy, things quiet.  You know, I was scanning through... I just realized how much of your blog I missed.  I must really go AWOL when I disappear.  I just saw that pic you called "otter dog" -- so cute.  I'll have to try and catch up.  Anyway, I would love that.  I could really use a break.
