you know I never thought of it like that. We live in a very small town which may have some part of that image.

Under one of the photos you mentioned aching for the south. Only then did I remember you're in Michigan. The other pictures seemed so southern. I haven't travelled extensive throughout the United States, but from the few places I've been, I've learned that outside the major metropolitan areas, lifestyles are remarkably similar.

Looking back on your year, I realise most of my 2006 pics were all taken
inside!
Love the South Carolina ones, could get lost in those quite happily.
Man, Carl's got nice legs.

I can't wait to see them. You have to realize how my husband discovered I had made friends with Rocky was he found me at the front door talking to him LOL! When he said something about a live trap and taking Rocky to the woods, I said something about him becoming celibate for the rest of his life LOL!

Bel, From the pictures and the comments, It appears you had a
really good year. It's posts like this that make me feel good. Thanks for sharing the pictures with all of us here in Blogitworld. As far as wild animals go, when I get back to Monterey (which used to be home to Fort Ord) California, I'm going to show everyone here what great neighborhood vagabonds we have. (something like a scene from the hit movie 'Over the Hedge' LOL

The first kiss...(clinking glasses? [why does my mind work that way???
])... Carl emerging from the sea...And that's quite a tattoo you got there...And it's either Rocky himself or his twin brother that comes visiting at our place...Hope the neighbours will be a bit more careful at their next BBQ...
Thanks for sharing!

We also went through TN on our way home. I begged Carl to take me to the smokies but we never actually got to the park, though we did drive through. I adore the south.

Yes, I came back and you were gone. I was heartbroken, many wondered where you went.
We went over Labor Day weekend, it was sort of a working vacation. We went to Chimney Rock Mountain as Carl is a huge fan of Last Of The Mohicans (ignore that awful spelling).

Wow Bel, awesome pictures and an incredible year!
So much loving and living brimming beautifully from this post. Love the tatoo! Very cool..

And I love North Carolina as much as I love Tennessee...the mountains, music and people. Have you heard the song - "Rocky Top" ? It's actually about Tennessee, but reminds me of N.C. too. I jam to it often, lol..

I didn't know you visited North Carolina; you must have gone there during my absence from Blogit. Beautiful pictures you have posted of it; I, too, love North Carolina. It's one of my favorite states.

It funny how sometimes you think, "Gosh, I've wasted another year doing
so little!" But then, when you look back at some pictures, or reading over journal entries, all of a sudden realize, many things have actually happened and changed.
