Just remember Gome
America's a big country and that's just one attitude. I don't and won't keep a gun in my home. I've been told if you're not willing to deal with the consequences of pulling the trigger, you shouldn't have one and I'm not. And I come from the middle of the country that's full of gun-totin' hunters.

SuccessWarrior - I stopped into the web forum and saw you latest post
It may be worth reading my blog on the subject of eBooks:
HERE if you haven't already. The format you release your eBook in (HTML pages compiled as a Windows exe, or PDF) is the first decision.

Ben, I have knives all over the place
I figure you can never have too many knives. I carried 4 on my uniform when I was cop. Now I carry 1.

At least you're able to defend yourself if the need arises!
About the only weapon I have on hand to defend myself is a huge serrated kitchen knife.

Everyone who is potentially exposed to threat should have the means to
be able to defend themselves. If an intruder enters my home, they will be met with a .45 caliber handgun. A powerful statement, a powerful equalizer. That's just the way I feel about it.

Gome, if it's any consolation, I don't have a hunting firearm. =)

SuccessWarrior - without realizing it, you have outlined the differences
in the attitudes towards guns between Americans and Canadians.
Without commenting on which perspective has merit, there is quite a difference in how one society views non hunting firearms versus the other.
