Budmannomore - is it fair to say: "Most conservatives resist change . . ?"
I agree that the word "conservative" by definition implies this but feel that using the word "most" is a sweeping generalization. I do however agree that within the ultra conservative or fundamentalist mind set there is definitely resistance to change. Many of them would have us all step backwards in time to attempt to live our lives by a set of redundant guidelines that are impossible to apply to modern era humans.

To be healthy is to expect progress and change
Most conservatives resist change, it is the nature of being conservative, resisting change reduces progress and creates stagnation. This is what happens to a conservative Christian for whom their religion is more important than their relationships with God and others.
