Hi drohan!
Thank you for your kind comments friend,  Cleopatra now there was a Queen of Egypt, most probable the most talked about Queen ever friend. How she seduced Caesar and then Mark Antony, for her power, romantic and ruthless. Thanks again!

Pharaohs nipples
Yes that must hurt even when my P.C brush was creating the Pharaohs tits, my mind new I needed more colour in his chest region , so the idear came along, nipple piercing though only painting, it still hurt just the thought of it! Imagining the poor chap strolling through his rain forest and getting one of his piercings looped over the twig of a bush on his way past. . Ouch! I've heard of the Amazons of Greek mythology that they cut off their right breast. . Ouch. .  Again so they could shoot more accurately with bow and arrow whilst on horse back. Recently I watched a program on the T.V and now like all legends there appears too be some truth in the ancient tale. Frozen Princess the name of the said program. These frozen tombs they had found on the Russian Steps, along with preserved horse ,weapon's jewelry and female warrior.,They would get the head of the table in my house Tony for sure. I believe that man and woman are equal, I am not religious, I just believe, never preached before Aver till here on blogit. So many learned people feeding my mind with gifts of food for thought, weather they are religious or just friendly and fair like yourself Tony, wisdom is wisdom in my book. I just happened to find a great feeling of truth from the early sciptures of the Bible. Thanks for your interest Tony, good luck Sir!

I don't like the look of those things hanging from his nipples!
Great pic. And very interesting speculation about prehistoric times. I always get the impression that people from many centuries ago were pretty much the same as they are now. Religions, social structures, ornamental clothing and make-up, the lot. Probably the greatest improvement since then has been women's equality, at least in the west. But even then I think there were some peoples who put women first or at least equal. It;s always been a mixed bag, with some fair -minded societies and some not so fair.

Thanks TAPS!
Easter Island , thank you for the flowing free verse TAPS I love a mystery,  an adventure keeps my mind away from the pub, saves me a few bob! Yes I read about that, how they chopped down all the trees in making their giant stone effigies, great art though. I love the eyes they crafted into their art. Shame though once the trees left so did the topsoil and their food. Probably at that time the largest art gallery in the world with know one looking on! Thanks again TAPS    Mike

Just as the forests of Rapa Nui
became baren of trees
in the birth of
the great stone faces
that stare into the the future
keeping secret the past
