You summed it up so well.  I don't know where the proportion of guilt lays but again, this story is being used to manipulate us, push our buttons.

The prosecutor bears most of the blame......
a politically motivated action, that has spiraled out of control....... is going to bite the man in the butt.......

Justi,
I can only repeat what I said on another blog about this issue: this case has been a scandal almost from the start! I hope it is possible in that jurisdiction to bring a civil suit not only against that woman, but more importantly against the prosecutor, or I should say persecutor!

Justi, this world is sinful.  We can't protect our grandchildren from it.  I wish I could just hold them in the arms forever, but I can't.  I can't protect them from television, the movies, and their environment, namely the chlldren they are with eight hours a day.  They know so much, sometimes I'm dumbfounded.  Sometimes i can't believe what they're telling me.  Sometimes I don't know what to say.  I give it my best shot.

Thank you for visiting me and for the lovely compliment.  You are indeed a kind, good-hearted lady.  God bless.

On that part of the story I agree with you totally. I do think on this the same way I do about abortion when are we going to begin at the point of beginning. Teaching in church, home on the streets anywhere, teaching people how to have some sort of life skills, treat children well and abstain, anything that is better than the majority of the people who grew up born 1950 to now. I see and hear horror stories daily as do you. I wish I could set up shop on the street to let them know God loves them. Sin is a taskmaster, but not always a teacher. Good to hear from you. Don't you often feel as if you are sooooo blessed.

I'm getting so sick of this story resurfacing in the news. (Greta's fault)  Bigtime waste of taxpayer dollars.

Justi, it makes me think of the prostitutes being murdered in UK --
they say they keep working for the money.  Surely there is something better for them but they are too often the product of mixed up, messed up and damaged homes - they do what they must and what they know to make money and (often) to support a drug habit.  It is so very sad.  I know of some ministries in the US where former prostitutes are reaching out to current prostitutes and strippers in an attempt to get them off the streets and into a better situation.  Life is hard for them, no easy answers  -- the field is ripe for harvest but the workers are few.
