Pat_B She is a treasure..Another one that comes to mind is the
crocodile hunter, Steve Irwin....He is/was a treasure alright.

A Native American woman in Seattle who speaks the old Tsimshian language
is that area's national treasure. She tells the old stories in the old tongue, and translates them to English, mostly morality tales about a mystical flea. She teaches the language to young tribal members, keeping them aware of their heritage.

I think that as far as a natural national treasure, The Giant Sequoias Come to mind.  I don't think they are found anywhere but California...

scoop I have seen many magestic treasures myself.
My favorites are those found in nature...including manmade things...We are natural creatures too!
