She did apologize but I agree with you about the end of communication which sucks, but they need to work that out.

I would probably just tell her boyfriend to stop communicating with me.  If he had a problem with it, I would tell him to discuss it with his wife.  In my opinion, she owes you an apology.

It has to go, it saddens me to have to step away from a friend but I can't take what the alcohol does.  I drink rarely and then it's no more than two drinks.  I grew up with drunks, I won't live with them in my adult life.

You can't talk to a drunk, bel.  It's a useless cause.  She'll call you if she wants your friendship.  It may be better if you just wait her out.  You're right, the alcohol must go first.

Maybe that is it.  I have done everything in my power to make sure that she knows exactly what conversations occur between us and except when she is drinking she usually encourages it.  She gets hard to deal with when drinking.

It seems that you have something in common with this man that she does not and that bothers her.........gulp gulp. Don't sweat it.

You know honestly, the more I think about it the more irritated I get and I think I am going to have to explain to her that if she doesn't do something about her drinking, I am going to have to step away.  This is not the first incident of this sort it just happens to be the worst.

That is a good point, I hadn't even thought of it.

I think you handled the situation quite well.  I hope that she does sober up and contact you so that this accusation can be resolved!

I wonder if she will remember it when she sobers up...It would be wise probably to wait until she calls...and you're right...it is the season!

I knew what you meant.  My guess is she will get past her hangover and be sorry...but I have to decide how I am going to handle this from my end.
