SoloWriter - you do know that I am joking about starting a church?

There you go ---- perpetually: per pet u all (wh)y.

Why do men feel without feelings?  Your Church of Gome is a cute idea, but break down that word before you start:  ch-u-r-ch.  It's a cold.  You really can't hide the truth.  It might be best to look for it.

When my parents divorced, I was only six, or so, and I said I wanted to live with my dad.  I never changed my mind about that fact, but my mom didn't listen to me.  His family was basically killed off, and I'm forced to live with the religious side.  "Why don't you take your children to church?" she often says.  Well, my dad didn't see the wisdom of going to church when his ex-wife has become the new preacher, and I agree with him.  It's one thing to share one's opinion in books, no matter what has befallen us, but to run a church is a great responsibility that can only be successfully accomplished by the most worthy of individuals.

Xeno-x - there are many reasons that things are the way they are
Including the influence of alcohol that I mentioned in this post. A lot of religious doctrine seems as if it was written by committee, then has had layer upon layer upon layer of "stuff" added to it. Two main agendas are present in all ancient religious doctrine; 1. proving the existence of God and 2. closing all of the loopholes. . . . I'm going to concentrate on the loopholes.

one person alone can't do it.

that's we came to the present point of church doctrine

hundreds, if not thousands, of minds involved in developing dogma

wonder if that's how come things are the way they are

SuccessWarrior - there is no set price other than as much as we can extract
We'll of course have to sell stuff online as well, we might be able to cut you in for a few bucks once you recruit 10,000 new members for us.

Okay, I'm liking it so far but let's cut to the bottom line
How much am I going to have to pay you for you to teach me how to be a rational, respectful human being?
