Chrome, thank you very much. That means a lot to me.
I've had no training except my life experiences and what my wife and I read but I always hope that I'm passing on good stuff.

As a member of my company's Lending Department, I'd just like to say that you offer your readers exceptional advise.  It sounds as though you and your wife are on the right track to financial freedom.  I wish you much success!!!!

Yeah AP and if you would have called asking,

they would have probably charged you a fee to do it.

It's all about who has the power and who is the beggar.

This happened the last time I paid off my credit card debts
Two of the credit card companies immediately raised my credit limit, without consulting me first.

SF, I've said it before and I'll say it again.

Debt is a prison.

Worse, debt is a prison that people voluntarily put themselves into.

Mysteria, the anticipation is a great feeling
I can't imagine how we'll feel when we get there.  Probably about 8 months from now.  Hoo ahh!

Ben, yes, you can go down to a NC rating which is lower than a number
I believe it's NC, I can look it up.  It means that there has been no activity on your credit history for 12 months.  I'm a long way from worrying about that.  =)

Mysteria, I'm getting close and I'm loving it.
Two more loans will be paid off in 2007 and then all I have is a house payment.  Schwing!

I've already mentioned another way I've heard one can harm one's FICO score but it's worth repeating here: closing all your credit card accounts, cutting the cards up, and just paying cash for everything (including building a house on a pay-as-you-go basis rather than getting a mortgage).

SuccessWarrior...It brings me much delight to be virtually debt free...
It is a great accomplishment in this society.
