Oops!  Thank you.  That was daft of me, forgetting there was such a thing as a search function.  Excuse me Ciel, while I hit my head against the desk a few times.

Anyone who searches for bull dogs on cafepress will probably
be whisked off to her storefront, then... It is huge and chaotic for sure, without a search function!

Thank you for the generous offer, Ciel.   If you don't mind, I'll keep your offer in reserve, as our daughter is too busy at present to do any painting, and on checking up on Cafe Press, she only has one painting of a bulldog on view.  She paints animals.

When navigating through CafePress, you wonder how anything gets sold.  All the best with sales of your photographs, Ciel.

thanks so much for taking a look, and for the great compliment!

I didn't sell much at first, but this year actually had a Christmas season-- Mostly, the items that sold were some of the newer images, like the panoramic canyon images that go all the way 'round the mug, and some of the newer calendars.  But just when I think I might as well retire some older stuff, someone comes along and buys one...

Cafepress does not have the greatest respect for artists.  I think they started as a T-shirts and bumperstickers kind of thing, so the pricing reflects that kind of manufacturing mindset.  I am stubbornly trying to get paid for photography, and will not price my items just a dollar above the base price of an item, but many sellers do just that.

If you will put your daughter's link in here, or over in my comments where I am sure to see it, I'd love to visit her shop.

Like you, Ciel, I am always 'about' to read Gomedome's informative posts, but don't get around to it.  He is one clever, witty dude, is young Gomedome.

I browsed thru your photographs on Cafe Press, Ciel, and they are stunning.  Tell me, if I'm not prying, do you actually sell any?  My daughter has had her paintings on there for ages without selling any.

I've looked at cafepress for publishing books,

and I recommend looking particularly at the price your book will have to sell for, before committing to it.  I do put my photos up there, however  (www.cafepress.com/rovingeye)

Gomedome, here on Blogit, has some very interesting and detailed information about online publishing-- I mean to do some serious reading of his pages one of these days!

I can appreciate that it mounts up, bel.  What I found quite funny was the article I submitted was marked as 'non-exclusive.'   When the offer was only $5.00, I submitted another article but marked this one as 'exclusive,' assuming that it would sell for a decent price.  The offer? $4.00.  I suppose it was thought that as they didn't have to compete for it they wouldn't have to offer as much.  I'll need to do some more research, but if AC offer more for a 'Blog' type post, which I do for free at the moment, I'll be writing more AC inserts.  It is all very interesting just now.

It doesn't pay a fortune and often it's work that is turned out to meet the required word count for many, but it can add up.  I figure it was more than I started out with.  I won't put anything on AC that I want to do something bigger with but it helps with extra cash here and there.

My pleasure, Pat.  If I find a site that pays a couple of thousand per word, I'll let you know straight away - after I become a millionaire of course.
