By no means am I excusing her behavior but I want to thank you for your compassion here. Personally, I had to escape from the whole thing because it reminded me too much of things past in my own life. It hurt to watch a talented woman and one who normally has a wonderful and loving soul turn into someone I didn't recognize. My instincts screamed out to fix it, to make things better for her and more than that to make others see she is hurting. I suspect most could see her hurt but the fact that she was hurting others in the process made it so nobody could help. Like you there were too many moments of something much to familiar to my real world and I had to step away before I got burned by trying to save someone that probably didn't really want my help anyway.
I am so sorry that you had to go through this but I am very impressed by your heart and compassion in this.

kinGmi... I feel so sorry for Blanche
I know, because of my strong empathic inclinations, just how bad it feels to hurt... I don't know about Blanche's anger though. I haven't got in touch with mine yet... I am a very forgiving person, probably due to my empathy... I can't see any sense in being angry over my childhood... But that's just me...

AA is an organization that has helped so many ...................
I'm glad you found it. I've had no personal experience with it, myself (not a drinker). But, I have some family members who should certainly consider going. I'm sorry somebody out here in the land of blogit hurt you. Hopefully, you two can reconcile.

I don't know much about AA, but it must be a good organization if it teaches you those things...I am sorry you had a blast from the past experience.

Maybe all this can fall behind us now as we learn from it~
