I like the idea....

with the understanding that the "unmissionaries'" true intent is to educate people as to things like the scientific method (and other ways of thinking), rather than trying to brainwash others or convert them, or present just one point of view.

But then, what fun would that be? :-)

Gome, that would be a good idea too
It has to be done in exchange for goods that people want.  That's what makes missionary work too expensive to do in the U.S.

SuccessWarrior - I was thinking along a different track
I began thinking of traditional missionary work, where much needed food and medical aid is exchanged in third world countries for the chance to brainwash the recipients. Some form of "unmissionary" endeavor would be needed in many of these instances.

TV, how about this as a compromise
Anyone who is going to go out and try to convince others of their beliefs has to play host so that others can do the same thing right back.  Those of us that want to be left alone can leave other people alone.

Hmmm, I would veto this
The last thing we need is more people trying to convince others of anything.  I know you were being somewhat tongue in cheek but I just wish people would worry about their own behavior and stop worrying about mine... I worry about that enough.
