I read this with interest, but was looking for something of the other side

of the leadership coin:  What's expected of a leader, and how the expectations of the led can be better advised with a bit of common sense.

I'm a big fan of common sense in many areas of life.

Well-- having been taken in an unexpected direction, common sense suggests that I take a look around while I am here...  at what you invite me to consider...

Me... become a leader?  My habitual shying-away from that notion seems tangled up in hesitation to set myself up for the meeting (or failing to meet) the expectations of others.

And does not leadership require a firm grasp of what is the right direction to be going?  Does it not require a degree of hubris, in fact, a belief in one's own view being a bit god-like, compared to the general view, and less susceptible to doubt?  There is that part of me that fills that bill, but another that warns against being too sure of that!  (In my blog I write about How the Universe Looks From Here, and the Parts Model of the mind is explained there.)

Well, I will come back again, and add some of your pieces of the Big Puzzle to my own kit.  This is clearly an area where I could use more than the ones I have!
