I went past my "old" house a week or so ago.
It's the  house my ex and I bought when our 2 older boys were toddlers. My youngest took off for Seattle to live before I finally sold it, elegantly remodeled, beautifully landscaped and freshly painted. It's been 14 years since it was my home. The new people put up gawd-awful privacy fences, let the landscaping go to hell, and it looks like it belongs in a war zone. I'm sure the neighbors feel these people have lowered their own property values, too.  sigh.

Nana

Sun, blue sky, leaves on the trees, sun, flowers, green grass, and did I mention sun, with the appropriate temperature? Looks like a fine place to me, so the new one must be magnificent...

And for some reason I thought that you went from way up North down to the South, but it turns out it was the other way around...

It's always tough to say goodbye
even when it is for something better.
