No offence taken LLM. I was probably being a bit grumpy so sorry. Thanks for dropping by again.

No, no Rob...
That wasn't what I meant at all!! Of course you're not suffering some terrible affliction...I agree with every word you said.
Oh, never mind, mate. If I say anything else, I'll just be sticking my foot in my mouth again!!
Anyway, I'm truly glad you had such a fantastic American holiday. Maybe next time you come here you'll think of some even more fascinating parts of the country to visit.
Have a safe and comfortable trip back home to Oz. Hopefully, you won't suffer too bad a case of jet lag. I'll look forward to hearing from you again after you've had a few days to recover from your adventures.

NY is OK LLM - a couple of idiot cab drivers don't detract from the overall experience - but I'm inclined to think it's just a big city that has had a long and effective history of self-publicity (so there's an initial wow factor in seeing it for the first time). I'm sure there are qualities to life in NY that only locals know and which elude people who are just passing through like me. I don't need to try to have a good time - I'm on holidays not suffering a terrible affliction!

I am ready to go home Babe Rocks and looking forward to getting on the plane. I think one month of travelling is about my limit - I couldn't imagine going off on a 6 to 18 month trip - but then maybe if it was the right place I'd feel differently. This has been a good trip and I wouldn't want to give the impression that it hasn't been. It's been interesting and I'm glad I've seen all I wanted - including a brief border crossing over the Rainbow Bridge for the best view of Niagra Falls.

Rob,
I had that same emotion about New York. I find that for the most part, that is one part of the country I intend to stay out of unless I ever have to catch a flight overseas again.
Try hard to enjoy the rest of your stay here and have a safe and comfortable flight home.
