Joe there is something so lyrical
about southern dialect when used properly.  I downloaded a Pat Conroy book onto my IPOD recently, the reader had that old south, white linen suit with a straw hat and handkerchief in the jacket pocket drawl.  I loved it!

I'm very familiar with Southern Tongue (hmmmmmm), , ,
but, I've never heard passing referred to as being promoted to heaven.  Of course, being from The South, I have an appreciation for it being coined as such.

Bel -
I heard that statement many years ago, and had forgotten all about it. I wish I had remembered it as I would have used it in my Thursdays With Death story.
