I don't have a problem with Santa's Butt. . . ,
It's tacky; wouldn't want to be caught with any of it in my refrigerator. However, this sounds like a bully brewery causing trouble for a competitor just for the sake of doing so. That, I give a bit thumbs down to. Leave Santa's Butt alone, and let the market dictate itself. If Santa's Butt sells like a blonde babe on the Corner of 6th and Market, then sobeit.

Corbin, it's a wee bit crude but all in all I say leave it alone.
Gotta give them some credit for creativity, eh?

Corbin,
Is it vulgar? Yes! Does vulgar sell? Yes! Is Santa's butt too close to the barrel for my taste? Yes! Are there more important things for people to get there knickers in a knot over? Yes! Is there anything else I feel I
should say? No!

I have to say Stop the Company advertising.
Number #1: As a Christian-not necessarily a good one-I object even to the depiction of a beer ad with the word Christ in it.
If this isn't un-Christian~un-American and un-Canadian, then Osama has already won.
Not just because it's an assault on Christmas, but because it's an assault on children to depict Santa Claus in such a way.
All of that from a recovered alcoholic sober 38+ years, and I hate to see kids being exposed to anything alcohol related, especially in some ad by a greedy over the top beer company.
Great post my friend and my comment isn't personal you know?

This is not censorship of artistic expression. The Santa alone would be acceptable. The word and painting of (butt) as advertising tagged on to a Christian concept is the repulsive part. To use him in this manner is the overwhelming expression of the vulgar which is the going thing today. It is not about Christmas, Santa or The First Amendment it is about the vulgar erosion of our culture and dignity. The First Amendment is not to allow filth but to allow freedom in a civil manner, it rejects hate speech and vulgarity is hateful.

It's a cute photo, but I'd really hate to see advertisers
Allowed to "Use" Christmas/Santa/Reindeer in such a manner. It just ain't right! (OH, and thanks for the lyrics to "Jingle Bells". We're tanking up on Eggnog and Whiskey later so we can sing a few carols and we'll need something to go by.)

Quite frankly, I don't see how that image could possibly be considered "appealing" to anyone ... of any age.
At first glance, I actually thought Santa Claus was taking a dump in the barrel.
However, as to the larger "war on Christmas" issue (which doesn't really seem to apply here) ... I just don't get it. Seems like much ado about nothing.
P.S. If you're referring to "Bad Santa", Billy Bob Thornton's character wasn't supposed to be the actual Santa Claus ... merely a lowlife department store employee.
I think Superman and Santa Claus
are actually the same guy,
and I'll tell you why:
Both fly, both wear red,
and both have a beard.

All right!
I look at it this way.......
It's beer and it's a controlled substance so to speak. It isn't making Santa look obscene...not drunk (unlike a certain recent movie) and so what's the big deal. If Coca-Cola could portray him on their products for 100 year, what's wrong with this.
It's just another way to tie up the attention of our court system, one that is already overburdened as it is.......
As to the beer company, they ought to be real happy with thousands upon thousands of free advertising.....you just know there are people calling them, from all across the country, asking how it can be shipped to them.......

Hey if Santa isn't worried about Maine putting their hands on his butt
why should I be worried about it? Last time I checked no matter what the picture it is illegal to sell beer to kids.

but little kids aren't drinking beer anyway. Santa Claus isn't even a religious icon - what about Superman beer?
