Hmmmmm. I'm well traveled, and I've never heard of this.
I will check it out next time I'm in DC during Christmas time.

You just couldn't hold it back could you, D?
Merry non-denominational celebration of the winter to you......

What a Beautiful...
...way to honour the fallen of past wars.

Isn't it all the sadder, then, that the fallen of current wars are being "honoured" by the sick-joke Commander-in-Chief banning the press from reporting on them being returned home for burial, and by the self-same guy refusing to go to a single funeral.

How times have changed.

This is a beautiful jesture. Someone sent me the story of the guards there and I have lost it. It is incredible what they give up in life just to be there. This is great.

They were not singing Christmas Carols...
Neither one of them even knew any of the words. They're BOTH blondes.

I was there a day or so after Christmas in 2004

They didn't have the wreaths out then.  I wonder why, I would have loved to have seen that.

It's an amazing place.  Anyone who can walk through without getting chills has something seriously wrong with them.

I've already seen the comment section...

What war?   Mustard alert?  Really?

I do know they don't need to try out for the Mormon Tabernacle Choir......

Corbin...here's a link to the two comments section.

In Shelly's comments section, I actually drew a map to help our troops in the blog war effort find their way.

In Offbeat's comments section, we discuss what to wear to a blog war, whether there's time to tan first, and what colors are good for blog wars.

Thanks so much for posting this beautiful story, Corbin. I appreciate your
contributions to reminding us of the sacrifices our military makes on our behalf while we go about our daily routines! Thanks for posting this beautiful story!

Wow! What an amazing idea!

I wish more ordinary citizens would look for simple ways like this to make a difference in their world.

Great post. I'm glad you're putting the ugliness of the past few days behind you.

BTW, me and Shelly and Offbeeats had quite a bit of fun late last night with this whole blog war thing.

I'll post a link so you can see what we were up to last nite...tee-hee!
