I think it is perfectly acceptable for us to disagree on this. We can't debate it appropriately on here. We can not discuss it if there is no room for seeing any other option, so we must agree to disagree or we have an ugly sore on our hands.

On the subject of Iraq we disagree, Justi. I'm sorry, but I do.
Now, what is cooking?

I believe I covered your answer in my response to Tanga. All sides of any truces are not a lie. All truces in response to the beginner of the angst is often a lie because they do not see themselves as the evil. The invasion of Iraq did not begin any of this. It began in the sixth century BC and the war began with the first fight of Mohammad in the seventh century; it will continue until the end of time and no truce will be valid from that side.

This is the truth. Extremism is the food for evil. There are two forces in this world and all is some level of one or the other. Good and Evil. The choice to follow evil is usually not a voluntary act. The follower is deceived and follows what h/she believes to be good. God says abide in me and I in you, this action will bring about safety now or immediately eternally. Hard choice but we are at the precipice of that time.

Your headline raises a very valid, good point, Justi
What if any truce is a lie and compromise is not possible, with any extremist?

The radicals in any religion or war
are extremely dangerous and there thoughts and actions have been warped into evilness. It is sad that so many innocents are caught up in these tragic events

Great, great post!
Could you please send me that link for the Lebanese Christian lady. I heard her on the radio before and her story is very stirring and relevant.

Have you ever just said "Thank You God that I was born here?" I have. I too do not know what I would do but Bridget Gabriel was born in Lebanon and she is fighting like a tiger for right. Have you seen her? I think I sent you a link to her video. God had a plan, I don't propose to know it but we are all born where we are supposed to be and to whom we are supposed to be still we have free will. God bless.

Justi, I'm not a "what if" person, but now and then I wonder what I would be like if I had been born in a muslim family in the mideast, or a Hindi family in India, or an Aboriginal child who was abducted by the government and taken away from parents. Don't know what this has to do with your post

but I'm so thankful that I am where I am even though some people in this world would try to take it away from me.

My point exactly. If you want to befriend them go ahead but be sure you don't turn your back or front to them on a day they can get a gun, bomb or anything that will kill you.

OFFBEATS
This is a Christian democracy. Their real goal is to overthrow any other religion. Rather to overthrow first the Jews then the Christians in any situation.

I find it difficult to understand what you are referring to. I am very opposed to abortion. This is a totally different situation. Until people make the law different that is legal. They can't come take your child and abort it, only you can do that. If you see a connection to what I wrote and abortion please explain it.

Their benefactors turn around and assassinate one of the Lebanese top leaders......with friends like that why are they worried about Israel as an enemy?

Yes radical to the tune of over 2 million now that want nothing but to over throw democracy. I really wish Israel would have taken them out when they had the chance. I saw a bit of the demonstration to today...bused them in from all over the country to over throw that small democratic country. It's very volatile right now..

Well, until they outlaw the murdering abortion "doctors," I guess I'll assume you're blindly criticizing the U.S. reflection here.
