Al Gore lost the general elections but he is now diverting the people's attention towards global warming

Okay, Blanche, I'll be civilized . . .

Where the man is right, heed him. Where he is wrong, which is quite often, refute him with the truth. The essence of civilized debate.

Okay, if Gore won the pupular vote . . .
then what say you about President Bush winning the popular vote by an even larger margin in 2004?

Writer (and friends), and the name-calling begins...why, one wonders,

are you so threatened by the man that you must mock and revile him. Can we not have a civilized discussion just once?  And who cares who the messenger is, if the message of global warming is earth-shattering.

We try to educate you to behave and you just don't listen.

Writer
I have not seen the movie...AL the DROID is a joke ...but regarding the subject of global warming..I suspect there is some validity to the issue and we should pay attention. I just don't need AL GORE to tell me...does he think the whole planet has their buried in the sand? If he received 51% of the applause I am sure it was because the sign was telling the audience to do so...

Nevertheless...

it does move.  When forced to recant his theories of gravity, inertia & the sun as the center of the universe, Galileo commented: "Nevertheless, it does move." (referring to the chandelier that gently swayed, proving his theory of inertia).

Al Gore lost the electoral vote when the Supreme Court ordered Florida to stop the recounts.  But no one who is intellectually honest denies that Al Gore won the popular vote by nearly 2 million votes!!!  Now, you might see that as a strategic failure, but it was hardly a failed election.  Perhaps if he had put more time & money into Florida, or even Tennessee, things would have turned out differently.  But you can hardly view it as a failure.
