- Go to How Do You Live: For Me, I Make Life Lists
Terpgirl, although my honey has a great list below (Professor Peabody)
I only have a couple
1. Get published: magazines, newpspaper, books, my first choices for each category are Playboy (it pays the best), Seatle Post-Intelligencer (the most likely) and Oprah.
2. Get married, which I've never done. passion burns fast and fades even faster, I'm in it for the long haul.
3. Go inward, into the inward journey of inner consciusness, I've been every in the world I want to go: Europe, Uzbekistan, Moscow, Mexico, now it's time to go into the last frontier, inner space.

Things to do before you die...
I can only comment on some of your goals:
1) Skydiving. Do it once, and you'll either be forever addicted, or too scared to go up in a plane again. The Army taught me how, but I spent every penny of my meager pay on civilian flights. I have over 120 jumps, with over an hour of free-fall time. It's more fun than sex (and you don't need a shower afterwards).
2) Flying. I have never met an unhappy pilot. Once you accomplish this feat, you feel you can accomplish anything. But if you do #2, better learn #1 first!
3) Stand-up. I did it in college. Makes skydiving look like brushing your teeth! My final exam was a 10 minute set in the student union. The longest 10 minutes of my life (and that includes the time I had a major malfunction and my main chute didn't open!) Remember; when you laugh, the whole world laughs with you. But when you "bomb" you bomb alone! There is nothing louder than the sound of no one laughing.
4) Chess teaches you more about life than 100 hours of the Apprentice. It makes you think many moves into the future, and learn about your opponent just like a pro poker player.
5) Everyone should have a true love once in their life. (but you don't have tonecessarily marry them!) The people who make you see stars will often make you see red.
6) Travel. Travel if yo can afford it, and evenif you can't. It makes yo open your eyes to other points of view.
7) Don't try to read ALL the great books; just read one. At a time. Read the Cliff's Notes version if you have to. One of the greatest tragedies of this country is that so few people read the classics, but everybody has time for "Dancing with the Stars".
It's very important to make lists; you'll never achieve everything on your list, but you'll accomplish more than if you had no list.
