Comments on Presidential Rankings

It'll be interesting to see how/if this list changes in 12 months!  I'm really interested in learning more about what Obama is really all about. He "presents" well, for sure.  Although what Prof Pea said about conservatives running the other way if a single, black woman runs for President, I still think that the first black or fermale (or both) President will have to be a Republican.  But then I could be wrong, especially if Rice were to win the nomination, but ends up running against a good ol Dixiecrat.  Could be interesting.

Other Contedners

Yes, Professor, you are right about Al and Condi. But I decided I had to do just the Top five for each party. I still say the ones I put are the top five as of now, I will be updating the list as time goes on, and the eventualy winner in each party may not even be the five I listed.

And No, I don't care about the rankings etiher, although I do like getting comments only becuase I like to know if what I am saying makes sense to people or I am just in a field all by myself.

Other contenders

I think you missed two very active "playas":

Al Gore.  Underestimate him at your peril.  Americans are anxious for a "do over" back to 2000. And in spite of all spinning, he did win the election by nearly 2 million votes, only to lose due to the vagaries (spelling?) of the Electoral College

Condie Rice.  Republicans see her as a incursion into the solidly Democratis black vote.  I say:  If you want to see all those "Nascar Dads" run to the polls to vote Dem, just run a black, single woman for president.  But they just might; McCain has made many enemies.

I can't believe that no one else has commented on your well-reasoned post.  Are you as "out of favor" as I am?  I have the luxury of not giving one rodent's rectum about Blogit rankings. Et tu, Brutus?
