I guess things have changed, then...
because I don't think that the video is included as part of the training. But yeah, the online assesment was a series of T/F and agree/disagree questions about work ethic, about 50 in all.
I'm not sure that I know how much they pay--I just requested at least minimum wage. The reason--I don't have retail experience, I need a job, and I don't want to sound too pushy.

Wow, Ann Taylor is doing assessments?
I remember working there many years ago and all I had to do was fill out the application and watch a video on their culture.
Is it true their pay is higher than other retailers and they have done away with commissions?

I'm dipping a toe in the job search, Kasthu, I missed the seasonal B & N
job at the mall. They've hired. I put in an app last night at a custom-order furniture gallery. My boyfriend works for a furniture/design store, and we figured he could teach me what I need to know, plus we can collaborate.
There is money in furniture sales, base pay plus commission. I just hate the idea of getting a minimum wage job at my age (46). So, if I"m going to start over, and supplement my writing and other income with a part-time job, I'd like it to be something fun, profitable and maybe even a little interesting. Good luck.
