Actually, he's a pretty good worker but you are right
Many people aren't.
And for me, it's just about the time I put in on Sunday. Before Sunday rolls around, I have usually put in at least 36 hours so I come in to wrap things up for the week and go home.

Given the attitude of the person who interrupted you...
no wonder the economy is worse off than the media would like us to believe. You'd think America was doing just great, but I just read something this morning where the dollar is really slipping against the Euro. I mean, I can see taking it easy on Sunday (or whatever day of the week you feel like taking it easy on), but to slack off as much as possible the rest of the week, too? No wonder customer service stinks.
